Planning of your trip
Start your day early with a pick-up from your Delhi lodging and a journey to Jaipur. Your private driver will transport you in a cosy, air-conditioned vehicle to your first stop, the Amber Fort, in Jaipur, where you’ll meet your private guide. The hilltop castle and palace are located in the Aravali Hills about seven miles (11 km) north of Jaipur. To get there, take a vehicle up the hill. The architectural wonder, which faces out onto Maota Lake, is lavishly embellished with details like mosaics, tile work, and mirror-filled alcoves.
Your tour guide leads you to Sheesh Mahal, or the hall of mirrors, and the Jai Mandir Temple. After visiting the Amber Fort, take some pictures at the Jal Mahal before going to a nearby restaurant for lunch (if option selected).
Your next stop is the City Palace, which blends Mughal and Rajasthani architectural elements, in the centre of the old city.
